Frequently Asked Questions
Questions about the wedding.
We understand that with a destination wedding (or any wedding) that you may have some questions. We will do our best to address your concerns as they arise, and update this page often. No doubt, many people will have similar questions, so we thought this would be a good place to start finding some answers. We haven't found any here ourselves, but we'll keep checking too :) - Feel free to email us your questions, and we will include them here for all to see.
Do people travelling from the US and the UK need to make their own travel arrangements?
Yes. Unfortunately, our travel agent is only able to book packages for guests travelling from within Canada. Once we have established the exact wedding dates (coming soon!) we will post the info to our "updates" section.
Is there a shuttle service from the airport to the resort?
Definitely. This includes travel from the airport to the hotel and vice-versa. This is included with your travel package.
How far from the resort is Puerto Vallarta?
The city of Puerto Vallarta is approximately 45 minutes via bus. There is a local bus that runs frequently from the resort.
Do people travelling within Canada need to make their own travel arrangements?
Only to the extent of booking through our travel agent. While this is not mandatory, we would appreciate having all Canadian packages booked through Maryann Juozaitis at 1-800-659-1525.
How much is the deposit for Canadian guests?
To date, the estimated deposit is quoted to be $150 CDN.
When does the balance need to be paid?
Approximately 60 days prior to departure.
Do you need a passport to travel to Mexico ?
As it sits, Canadians do not need a passport to travel to Mexico, provided they are not flying through the US. Our opinion is to err on the side of caution. It is better to have it and find out you don't require it, than have things change and be left 'high and dry'.
Are there any complications in terms of people booking on their own, staying at a different hotel/resort and attending the wedding?
For people making their own arrangements, and staying somewhere other than the Palladium Vallarta, they will need to purchase a visitor's pass (day or night) to attend the wedding, and to have full access to the resort. Currently, we do not know the fees associated, but we would guess them to be nominal.
What happens if it rains on the wedding day?
The Palladium Vallarta has a backup indoor location for the ceremony in the event of poor weather.
Are hair and beauty services available at the resort?
Yes, there is a spa at the resort that offers these services.
